We are excited to reveal the full gallery of images from our latest design project: a 1-bedroom, 1.5-bath poolside guest cottage located near the Chesapeake Bay.
“The design direction was classic Eastern Shore country house – lots of shiplap, pine floors, cozy rugs, easy fabrics —nothing fussy,” Melanie Donohue told The Cottage Journal in their Summer 2024 issue, about her design for this new Cambridge cottage.
“Our primary design objective was to capture the Eastern Shore vibe, which is laid-back yet traditional, combining modern and fresh elements,” Jamie said. “And, of course, we wanted to be true to the existing old house.” Exterior waterfront views played a big part in influencing palette, finishes, and furnishings, as did the main separate (not pictured) historic farmhouse itself.

What fabric (manufacturer and pattern) was used for draperies on this project? I have a client who has shown me your project in The Cottage Journal as she would like to use that fabric for her project in Oregon. I thought I would ask the question as it would save me time on “the search.” If you could help, I would be grateful.
